Originally published in 1899, this collection of Mrs Philip Lybbe Powys' diary entries by a descendant is both expensive and hard to find in its first edition. The extracts from Powys' diaries and travelling journals present a fascinating insight into life, manners and customs of the upper classes in the last half of the eighteenth century.
