Government of Ethiopia is undertaking different measures to appreciate level of exports and hence foreign currency earnings. To this end different measures are being undertaken. These measures are supposed to increase Ethiopia's foreign exchange earnings and improving the livelihoods of livestock producers and other actors engaged in the livestock related activities. But the sector is facing different challenges with varying intensity. The fundamental of them is poor commercial off-take all over the country and particularly in pastoral areas.
