The only successful examples of a biological control on vertebrate pests are myxomatosis and rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus. This book discusses the myxoma virus in American rabbits and the history of its introduction into European rabbits, with predictions of changes in the virus and its host. Rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus has been spreading in Australia for only a few years, but in some areas has been very effective.
